Jim Scano is a career Firefighter/Paramedic with Dallas Fire-Rescue, one of the largest and busiest EMS systems in the country. Currently Jim is assigned to Station 10 covering the northern most parts of the City of Dallas. In recent years, Jim has found a great amount of success teaching the fundamental aspects of the NREMT Paramedic Exam through his EMS Success Audio Study Guides.


 Dieter Bove' is a 30 year veteran of the Bloomingdale Fire Protection District in DuPage County, Illinois and an expert on Solid Fuel and Gas Combustion Appliances. Along side his firefighting career, in 1980 he founded the Chimney Department, Ltd. and since since 1985 Dieter has been training the fire service on solid fuel and gas combustion appliances, and the emergencies and fires related to them. He has been a guest speaker on the topic on a variety of news talk radio shows including WIND 560 in Chicago, Your Home Matters on WRMN, Common Interest Radio on WBIG and Firefighter Netcast.

Dieter is a CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) Certified Chimney Sweep®, CSIA Certified Dryer Exhaust Duct Technician® and a former WHERF (Wood Heating Education and Research Foundation) Certified Woodstove Technician and Fireplace Installer. He is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the National Chimney Sweep Guild.
