About Firefighter Knowledge, Inc.

Firefighter Knowledge, Inc., originally Chimney Safe Productions, Inc., was founded to educate firefighters on the subject of solid fuel and gas combustion appliances.

However, since our launch in April of 2010, we heard from and talked to; educators, distributors, non-profit organizations, fire investigators, firefighters, trainers, small and large business owners and others in the fire service that also wanted create awareness of their product, service or cause - that effects the lives of firefighters and the public the firefighters serve. We quickly realized we could contribute to additional firefighter education as well as public education.

As Managing Partner, Catherine Filarski is in charge of business development, strategic partnerships, sales and marketing, as well as the day to day operations of Firefighter Knowledge, Inc.

Catherine is also a marketing consultant, Certified Trade Show Marketer and has held management positions in the visual media, film/video post-production, and business event industries. Catherine has been involved with the fire service industry since 2005.

Dieter Bove’ served as a full-time career Firefighter from 1979-2009 with the Bloomingdale Fire Protection District in DuPage County, Illinois.

Along side his firefighting career, in 1980, Dieter founded the Chimney Department, Ltd., a commercial and residential building maintenance firm focusing on chimney, fireplace and dryer vent repair and service. This is where he became an expert on the subject of solid fuel and gas combustion appliances and began training on the subject to his fellow firefighters. Dieter has been training fire departments since 1985.
